Welcome to the Monroe Public Schools Foundation

The Monroe Public Schools Foundation is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting our local public schools.  The Foundation's mission is to develop and provide community support to strengthen the achievement of all students within the Monroe Public Schools.  We support the students and teachers of our school district by matching educational needs with the resources of dedicated volunteers and contributors.

Our students are the heart and soul of the Monroe School District.  The Foundation helps provide the resources needed for every student to become engaged in relevant, rigorous and personal learning.

Our goals are to:

  • Award grants to staff and students
  • Reward and honor outstanding teachers and staff
  • Promote charitable and planned giving to benefit our public schools
  • Provide students with expanded learning opportunities and materials
  • Seek scholarship and program funds from public and private sources
  • Honor the efforts and achievements of students, staff, and community members
  • Build an endowment fund to provide a permanent source of supplemental funding

The Monroe Public Schools Foundation is operated independently of the Monroe School District No. 103 and is a 501(c)(3) organization.

There is a place in America
to take a stand: it is public education...
It is the underpinning of our cultural and political system...
It is in public education
that the American dream begins to take shape.
