The 2019 winner is…..The UW HUSKIES!

We accepted donations through Thursday, October 31st, 2019 at 10pm. After a 2 year losing streak, the Washington Husky fans have raised the most money and will have their flag flown high above Monroe on the Lakeside Industries asphalt plant, located next to the Galaxy Theatre FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH leading up to Apple Cup.

Huskies vs. Cougars. The rivalry has existed for more than 100 years. Since their first meeting in 1900, the annual Apple Cup has raised blood pressures across the state for years. Each team boasting of their greatness ultimately being decided on the field and giving one of the two rivals bragging rights until the following year. We all know that this rivalry exists on and off the fields, courts and campuses. Every Washingtonian has a favorite.

It’s Apple Cup time again! This competition puts the fun in fundraiser! School Spirit is so much more than just a color or mascot. It is about memories made, people, pride and perhaps some learning along the way. It’s about being a part of something bigger than yourself.

This year, for the second time, the winner was the WSU Cougars! While one team was ultimately decided, in the end the kids win as 100% of the money raised goes directly to the Monroe Public Schools Foundation which will benefit all students of the Monroe School District through classroom grants, students scholarships, emergency needs program and much more.

The 2019 Lakeside Industries Husky/Cougar Challenge is now CLOSED. The winner is The Washington Huskies!
