The 2019 Challenge is now open as of October 1st!

Huskies vs. Cougars. The rivalry has existed for more than 100 years. Since their first meeting in 1900, the annual Apple Cup has raised blood pressures across the state for years. Each team boasting of their greatness ultimately being decided on the field and giving one of the two rivals bragging rights until the following year. We all know that this rivalry exists on and off the fields, courts and campuses. Every Washingtonian has a favorite.

It’s Apple Cup time again! This competition puts the fun in fundraiser! Last year, for the second time, the winner was the WSU Cougars! School Spirit is so much more than just a color or mascot. It is about memories made, people, pride and perhaps some learning along the way. It’s about being a part of something bigger than yourself.

For the 6th season, Lakeside Industries is sponsoring the Apple Cup Challenge! Below you can pick your team and donate any amount you like. We will accept donations through Thursday, October 31st, 2019 at 10PM PT. Once the donation window closes, the team with the highest donation amount will have their team flag raised high above Monroe at Lakeside Industries plant FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH leading up to the Apple Cup.

While one team will ultimately be decided, in the end the kids win as 100% of the money raised goes directly to the Monroe Public Schools Foundation which will benefit all students of the Monroe School District through classroom grants, students scholarships, emergency needs program and much more.
